Setting up Baby Sit
The Baby Sit function allows you to monitor sounds in another room (e.g. the
baby’s room). Because Baby Sit is a special type of internal call, it requires two
handsets (of type Xalio 6820 or Xalio 6850): one left in the baby’s room and one
you keep with you (the parent handset).
Setting a handset in Baby Sit mode
In order to use Baby Sit, you must first set the handset to be left in the room to be
monitored (e.g. the baby’s room) in Baby Sit mode.
Press
R to enter menu mode.
Press
- until HS SETUP is displayed.
Press o until INTERCOM is displayed.
Press + or - to select BABY SIT.
Press
o.
Your handset beeps to indicate that the setting has been changed.
Press R to exit menu mode.
Note:
The handset in Baby Sit mode will not ring but can be used to make and receive
calls.
To put the handset in Baby Sit mode back into normal mode proceed as above. In

Using Baby Sit
Place the handset in Baby Sit mode in the room you want to monitor
(e.g. the baby’s room).
Using the other (parent) handset, press
e and the number of the
handset in Baby Sit mode.
The handset in Baby Sit mode will not ring but its microphone will be
activated to pick up surrounding sounds.
Turn on the loudspeaker of the parent handset by pressing
H.
Note:
If you receive an outside call while you are using the Baby Sit function neither the
handset in Baby Sit mode nor the handset you are using to monitor sounds will
ring. However, the base station will ring and you will hear a call waiting tone on the
parent handset. To take the call, use the parent handset and press
e
then
t
or

t
twice.
