Changing Your Security Code
If you assign a security code to your mailbox, you will have to enter
the code every time you call your mailbox to listen to your messages
or use other NVM-Series features. A security code can be up to 6 dig-
its long. And you can change the security code at any time. If you for-
get the security code, the System Administrator can erase your current
one so you can enter a new one.
The following types of mailboxes can have a security code:
Subscriber, Message Center, Guest, and Network.
1. Call your mailbox (see page 6).
2. Press OP (67).
3. Press S (7).
4. Follow the voice prompts.
About Message Notification
With Message Notification, you can have NVM-Series call you when
you receive messages. You start by customizing the Message
Notification options to meet your needs. You can specify:
The notification numbers and schedule.
NVM-Series can call up to 3 different notifications in a single day.
You must specify the time of day that NVM-Series should start and
stop calling each number. For example, you may want NVM-Series
to call your home number only from 6 PM to 8 AM. To have
Message Notification call the same number around the clock, enter
the same time for the start and stop time. Once you set up the sched-
ules, you must select which notification numbers should be active.
NVM-Series only calls notification numbers that are active. (Please
note: In the voice prompts for Message Notification, NVM-Series
refers to the notification numbers as notification groups.)
Whether you want to be notified of all messages or only messages
from a specific person's mailbox (including network mailboxes).
