TONE DIALING SWITCH OVER
Some telephone companies use equipment
that requires pulse dialing (sometimes
referred to as rotary dialing). If you need to
enter tone dialing digits, you can switch-
over to tone dialing during the call. This
feature is useful when you need tone dialing
to use automated systems, for example,
entering your bank account number after
you have called your bank. Ô
Initially make your call with the pulse dialing
mode. Once your call connects, press
/TONE/< on the handset or base. Enter the
desired number. These digits will be sent as
tone dialing. Once the call ends, the tone
mode is canceled and pulse dialing mode
resumes.
TRAVELLING OUT-OF-RANGE
During a call, as you begin to move your
handset too far from your base unit, noise
may increase. If you pass the range limits of
the base unit, you will hear a beep and see
Out of Range
on the display, and then
the handset returns to standby mode.
PRIVACY MODE
Privacy mode prevents interruption from
other registered handsets or the base. This
works only when the phone is in use. Ô
1. Press the
MENU soft key on the
handset or the base.
2. While on a call, press
VOL/RING/ or
VOL/RING/ to move the pointer to
Privacy Mode
and then the OK soft
key.
Privacy Mode On

display. To exit Privacy Mode, repeat above
step when Privacy Mode is on.
Privacy
Mode Off
