Erasing one item in the
phonebook

LMake sure that the unit is in standby
mode.
1 Press {PHONEBOOK}.
2 Select “View Records”, then press
{MENU/SET}.
3 Press {V} or {^} to select the
desired item, then press {ERASE}.
LTo search for the item by initial,
see “Searching for a name by
initial” on page 33.
4 Select “Yes?”, then press {ERASE}
or {MENU/SET}.
LTo cancel, select “No?”, then press
{MENU/SET}.
5 Press {PHONEBOOK} to return to
standby mode.

standby mode.

Chain dial
This feature allows you to dial phone
numbers in the phonebook while you are
on a call. This feature can be used, for
example, to dial a calling card access
number or bank account PIN that you
have stored in the phonebook, without
having to dial manually.
1 During an outside call, press
{PHONEBOOK}.
2 Select “View Records”, then press
{MENU/SET}.
3 Press {V} or {^} to select the
desired item, then press
{MENU/SET}.
LTo search for the item by initial,

initial” on page 33.
4 Select “Dial”, then press
{MENU/SET}.

LWhen storing a calling card access
number and your PIN in the
phonebook as one phonebook item,
press {REDIAL/PAUSE} to add
pauses after the number and PIN as
necessary (see “PAUSE button (for
PBX/long distance service users)” on
page 26).
LIf you have rotary or pulse service, you
need to press {*} (TONE) before
pressing {PHONEBOOK} in step 1 to
change the dialing mode temporarily
to tone.
