Chapter 1. General Information
Scope of this Manual
This manual provides installation and operation information for the following two units:
• MT8850A Bluetooth Test Set
• MT8852A Bluetooth Test Set.
All information in this manual applies equally to both the MT8850A and the MT8852A
unless otherwise stated, and is most cases this is signified by the use of
“MT8850A/MT8852A”. The screen images provided in the procedural explanations have
been taken from the MT8850A unit, although these too apply equally to the MT8852A.
Chapter 9 in this manual provides specific details of audio measurements and therefore
applies to the MT8852A only.

This manual provides details of the operation and functionality of the following software
versions:
MT8850A: 2.30
MT8852A: 2.30
Identification Number
The MT8850A/MT8852A Bluetooth Test Set has an ID number affixed to the rear. Please
use the complete ID number when ordering parts or corresponding with the Anritsu
Customer Service department.
