HIERARCHICAL CONNECTION OF MULTIPLE PJP UNITS (CASCADE CONNECTION)
40
The cascade connection classifies the PJP units to be
involved in a call into the servers and clients, connects
each client to a server and establishes the call by
interconnecting the servers. While the maximum number
of locations that can be connected in normal connection
mode (mesh mode) is 4, a larger number of locations can
be connected by means of the cascade connection.
To use the cascade connection, all of the PJP units involved in
the call should be set to one of the cascade connection modes. A
unit set to the normal connection mode (mesh mode) cannot be
connected with a unit set to a cascade connection mode.
During a cascade connection, the audio is always reproduced in
the monaural mode even when “Speaker Mode” (page 29) is set
to “Divide”.
The maximum number of locations by
the cascade connection
Up to 8 locations can be connected by means of the
cascade connection. To establish the connection of 8
locations, you need to connect the servers and clients as
shown in the following figure.
