Connecting the Base and Charging the Handset
CAUTION: To avoid risk of fire and shock, use
only the Uniden AD-0006 AC adapter.
NOTE: Do not place the power cord where it
creates a trip hazard or where it could become
chafed and create a fire or electrical hazard.
1. Connect the AC adapter to the yellow power connector
(labeled DC IN 9V).
A) Place the AC adapter behind the adapter channel
guide and line it up with the yellow power connector.
B) Push the adapter into the connector.
C) Turn the adapter towards the rear of the base so the
adapter head fits in the AC adapter channel.
2. Connect the AC adapter to a standard 120V AC wall outlet.
DO NOT use an AC outlet controlled by a wall switch.
3. Place the handset in the base with the LCD screen facing
forward.
4. Make sure that the charge Light comes on. If the LED does not come on, make sure the AC adapter is
plugged in and the handset makes good contact with the charging contacts.
5. Charge your handset at least 15 hours before plugging into the phone line.
NOTE: For optimum battery life, make sure the handset is fully charged before plugging in
the phone line.
