Turning the answering system on or off

Answering system and voice mail
Youtelephonehasabuilt-inansweringsystemand
voicemailindicator(ifyousubscribetovoicemail
offeredbyyourtelephoneserviceprovider).They
are independent features and each alerts you to new
messages differently.
Tolistentoyourvoicemail,followtheinstructions
providedbyyourvoicemailserviceprovider.
Message capacity
Theansweringsystemcanrecordupto59
messages.Eachmessagecanbeupto3minutes
inlength,andthetotalrecordingtimeis20minutes.
Whenthemessagecapacityisfull,theanswering
systemonlyplaystheoutgoingannouncementbut
will not record any message.
Telephone base volume
Usethe[
]buttontoadjusttheplaybackvolume
atthetelephonebasetoacomfortablelevel(a
beeptonewillsoundwhenthevolumereachesthe
maximum or minimum level.)
New message indicator
When there are new messages on the answering
system,thenumberofnewmessagesashesonthe
messagewindowonthetelephonebase,the icon
ashesandNEWMESSAGEdisplaysonthehandset
screen.
Outgoing Announcement (OGA)
Whentheansweringsystemanswersacall,thepre-
recorded outgoing announcement is played to the
caller unless you have recorded your own outgoing
announcement.
