- ‘HANDSET RING’ appears on the display.
- Repeatedly press the Menu key until ‘LCD CONTRAST’ appears.
- Press 'OK' to change the setting or ‘BACK’ to go back.
- Repeatedly press the Menu key to change the contrast (0-9).
- Press 'OK' to confirm the new setting or ‘BACK' to go back.
4.15.5. Programming the Handset PIN code
Certain functions such as handset reset are only available if you know the PIN
code of the telephone. Thanks to this secret code, settings are screened that
only you can change. The PIN code has 4 digits. The default PIN code setting is
'0000'.
Caution: Do not forget your personal PIN code.
- Repeatedly press the Menu key until 'TELEPHONE' appears.
- Press the OK key twice.
- ‘HANDSET RING’ appears on the display.
- Repeatedly press the Menu key until ‘HS PIN’ appears.
- Press 'CHANGE' to change the setting or ‘BACK’ to go back.
- ‘HS PIN?’ appears on the display.
- Enter the old pin code (0000) and press OK. If a wrong pin code is entered,
the menu is left.
- With a correct pin code the telephone asks you to enter the new pin code
‘NEW PIN?’.
- Enter the new pin code and press OK.
4.15.6. Changing handset name
You can give each handset a name which then appears on the display (in
standby), together with the handset number. This means one can easily identify
each handset:
- Repeatedly press the Menu key until 'TELEPHONE' appears.
- Press the OK key twice.
- ‘HANDSET RING’ appears on the display.
- Repeatedly press the Menu key until ‘HS NAME’ appears.
- Press OK' or ‘BACK’ to go back.
- Press 'CHANGE' to change the name.
- Enter the new name using the alphanumeric keyboard and use the '<' and
'>' keys to move the cursor.
- Press 'SAVE' to confirm.
