TROUBLESHOOTING
If your ST88245 Cordless telephone is not performing to your expectations,
please try these simple steps. If you are still unable to resolve the
problems, please call the SYLVANIA toll free Customer Hotline for
assistance: 1-800-287-4871 MONDAY-FRIDAY 8:30 am.-5:00 pm. (EST)
NOTE: Do not attempt to service this unit yourself. All service must be done by a
qualified service personnel.
The CHARGE/ IN USE
LED wont come on
when the handset is
placed on the base.
Conversation
interrupted frequently.
Cant make or
receive calls.
The Caller ID does not
display.
Make sure the AC adapter is plugged into
the base and wall outlet.
Make sure the handset is properly seated on
the base.
Make sure the charging contacts on the
handset are clean.
Change channels.
Make sure that the handset is not too far
from the base.
Move the base to a different location away
from metal objects or appliances.
Check both ends of the base telephone
line cord.
Make sure the AC adapter is plugged into
the base and wall outlet.
Disconnect the AC adapter for a few
minutes, then reconnect it.
Make sure that the handset is not too far
from the base unit.
Change the digital code security.
The handset was picked up before the
second ring.
The call was placed through a switchboard.
Call your local telephone company to verify
your Caller ID service is current.
