CHARGING THE BATTERY PACK
▼ Initial Battery Charging
Before plugging the phone line into your
new phone for the first time, fully charge
the rechargeable battery pack for 15-20
hours without interruption.
1) Place the handset on the base.
2) Make sure that CHARGE/IN USE
LED lights. If the LED doesn’t light,
check to see that the AC adapter is
plugged in and that the handset
makes good contact with the base
charging contacts.
▼ Low Battery Alert
When the battery pack is very low and needs
to be charged, the phone is programmed to
eliminate functions in order to save power. If
the phone is not in use, “
Low Battery”
appears on the LCD and none of the keys
will operate.
If the phone is in use, “
Low Battery” flashes and the handset beeps.
Complete your conversation as quickly as possible and return the handset
to the base unit for charging.
NOTES: •
Information stored in the phone's memory will be retained for one minute after
the battery pack is removed. This includes all setup information, last number
dialed, memory dial locations stored, SpeedDial programming, and the CID list.
•Even when the battery pack is not being used, it will gradually discharge
over a long period of time. For optimum performance, be sure to return the
handset to the base unit after a telephone call.
CLEANING THE BATTERY CONTACTS
To maintain a good charge, clean all
charging contacts on the handset about
once a month with a damp cloth. DO NOT
use liquids or solvents; you may damage
your phone.
