Headset/Handset Mute
When you are on the phone using the handset or a headset,
use Headset/Handset Mute [o talk privately with someone in
your office without the caller hearing you (you can still hear
the caller). Headset/Handset Mute must be programmed onto
an unlabeled button.
When you press the programmed
Headset/Handset Mute
button while using the handset or a headset, the red light next
to the button goes on and the microphone in the handset or
headset goes off. The light goes off and the microphone
comes back on when you press
Headset/Handset Mute
again or when you hang up.
