To set the analogue device as
fax Gr2/Gr3 select ‘fax’.
IMPORTANT : Changing the type of call of the analogue device can make it impossible to call certain numbers. Normally
it should be set to ‘Tel_speech’ for a normal telephone or ‘Fax’ for analogue fax device.

Symptom Cause
No function • Mains failure. Check if the power supply (220V) of your NT1 box
is connected.
•Error in the line connectors.
No display • NT1 box in emergency mode operation (mains failure).
No ringing • “Quiet” or “Call Filter” programmed.
An available function • Repeat the entry, possibly operational malfunction.
cannot be used • Feature is not enabled by the ISDN provider. Consult your provider.
Your partner cannot • The Mute function is switched ON ( key during connection).
hear you
No calling partner • Call is not originated from an ISDN access.
number display • Calling partner number suppression is switched ON.
No new connection • Allowed time expired.
at “Call pickup” • Wrong connection code entered at pickup attempt.
The phone displays an • The number in brackets is a cause number according to the ISDN
error message such as protocol specification in Q.931, given as hexadecimal value. In some
<01> wrong MSN cases, this may be caused by an ISDN feature not yet available in the
exchange or a network feature not yet available in the phone. This may
be the case if the phone is connected to a PABX with different feature
sets. Contact your supplier about the cause number or see the cause
list appended.
