Setting the Network preferences for a wireless LAN (for PEG-TJ37 only)
10 Perform the following procedures if necessary by tapping
[Advanced Setup]:
IP address:
DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) is enabled by default.
When DHCP is cancelled, and you can manually set up an IP Address,
Subnet mask, Gateway Address, Primary DNS, and Secondary DNS.
To cancel DHCP, tap next to [IP Address:] to change to .
DNS Address:
You can manually set up a Primary DNS and Secondary DNS.
To cancel DNS Address automatical setup, tap next to [DNS
Address:] to change to .
PowerSaveMode:
The Power Save function is enabled by default. If the communication
reception of the wireless LAN is low, disable the Power Save function
and communicate with the maximum power. In this case, the battery of
your CLIÉ handheld will run out quickly. Enable Power Save function
for normal use. To disable the Power Save function, tap next to
[PowerSaveMode:] to change to .
Authentication:
When any option other than [V None] is selected in step 7, you can
select [Open System] or [Shared KEY] for the Authentication of the
wireless LAN access point you want to connect to. [Open System] is
selected by default.
11 Tap [OK] twice.
The Wireless LAN Setup screen which added [*NewProfile] under
[Profile Name :] is displayed.
12 Tap [OK].
The Wireless LAN Setup screen is closed, and the Preferences
screen for [Network] is displayed.
