Troubleshooting
Useful Information
General
When you play back messages
or turn on the Answering
System, the handset and/or
base unit announces the wrong
day and time.
The date and time may be set incorrectly.
Set the date and time again (p. 14).
Problem Cause & Remedy
The handset and/or base unit
does not work.
Check the settings (p. 9–11).
Check whether the dialing mode setting is
correct (p. 15).
Fully charge the battery (p. 10).
Clean the charge contacts and charge again
(p. 11).
Check battery installation (p. 10).
Unplug the base unit’s AC adaptor to reset
it. Plug in, and try again.
Re-install the battery (p. 10) and fully charge
it.
Time setting is erased, and “E
flashes on the base unit
display or “
E
Press MENU.
flashes on the handset display.
If a power failure occurs, time setting may
be erased. Set the date and time again
(p. 14).
Recharge battery” is
displayed, “7” flashes, or
the handset beeps
intermittently.

The battery has been discharged. Fully

The battery may need to be replaced. If you

The CHARGE indicator does
not go out after the battery has
been charged.
This is normal.
