Administrator Tools
This section is the SIP Administrator’s reference to the Settings key menu interface configuration
options. Where applicable, it references the appropriate page(s) of the Web Configuration Tool.
Note: Some procedures can only be completed from the Web Configuration Tool.
To access the referenced pages of the Web Configuration Tool, see Accessing the Web
Configuration Tool on page 10.
To get help with settings and programming for administrative procedures, see Accessing the Web
Configuration Tool Online Help on page 8.
SIP Administrator Phone Passwords
To log in for the first time as an Administrator, use the default administrator name and password.
Change these passwords as soon as possible to prevent unauthorized changes to the phone.
For privacy reasons, an asterisk ( * ) appears for each character you enter.

Change Phone Passwords
To change user or administrator passwords:
Access the Users & Passwords page of the Web Configuration Tool.
SIP User Accounts
A SIP user account includes a user name and password, and allows the user to register with the
SIP Service Provider.

Configuration Tool online help.
View Prime User Name
1. Press Applications
.
2. Press the third Personal key (counting upwards from the bottom on the 5330 IP Phone)
or the Line 3 key (counting upwards from the bottom right on the 5340 IP Phone). The
user display name (top line) and user name (second line) appear in the information area.
3. Press Applications
to return to the default display.
