Model 8601 SoftPhone for Pocket PC User Guide
WELCOME
The Model 8601 SoftPhone for Pocket PC is a software-based, Session Initiation Pro-
tocol (SIP) softphone that runs on the Pocket PC 2002 (or later) Personal Digital
Assistant (PDA) platforms.
With your Model 8601, you can place or receive calls from anywhere within the same
wireless network. The Model 8601 works just like other Inter-Tel
®
SIP phones. In
addition, the Model 8601 supports the Shared Extension feature. This feature allows
you to share the same extension between your Model 8601 and up to four other SIP
phones. This provides you with mobility so that you do not miss any calls when you
are away from your desk.
