Troubleshooting
The following table lists some common problems you might face and their
probable solutions. To troubleshoot, use a single solution from the bullet
list or a combination of solutions in the given order.
For soft or hard reset, please refer to "Resetting the Axim" on page 53.
Problem Solution
Accessory with form factor as Compact
Flash II or Secure Digital Card has not
been detected by the device.
• Remove the card from the slot and
soft reset the device.
• If the card is not detected even after
soft resetting the device, remove the
card from the slot and hard reset the
device.
• Certain cards require their own
software. Install the software, if
necessary.
System not responding to screen taps
• Clean the touchscreen.
• Check the button lock on the left side
of the system.
• Clean the touchscreen.
• Soft reset the device.
System not responding to button
commands
• Check the button lock on the left side
of the system.
•Tap
Unlock
on the Today screen if it is
in locked state.
• Check button assignment settings.
• Soft reset the device.
