System does
not answer after
correct number
of rings.
Make sure that the answering system is on (page 70).
If toll saver is selected, the number of rings changes
to two when there are new messages waiting
(page 28).
If the memory is full or if the system is off, the an-
swering system answers after 10 rings.
In some cases, the answering system is affected by the
ringing system used by the local telephone company.
If you subscribe to voicemail service, change the
number of rings so that your answering system an-
swers before your voicemail answers. To determine
how many rings will activate your voicemail, please
contact your local telephone service provider.
If there is a fax machine connected to the same
telephone line, try disconnecting the fax machine. If
that solves the problem, consult your fax machine
documentation for information on compatibility with
answering systems.

full. Please refer to the Remaining space section on
page 32 in the user’s manual. When the answering
system memory is full, it does not record new
messages until some old messages are deleted.
