Telephone base
INTERCOM/CID DEL:
Press to delete displayed
caller ID entry (page 34).
While phone is idle, press
to page handset (page 19),
or press and hold to delete
all caller ID entries (page
35).
MENU: Press to customize
the telephone’s operation
(page 13).
FLASH: During a call,
press to receive an incom-
ing call if call waiting is
activated (page 17).
REDIAL/PAUSE: Before
dialing any numbers, press
to display the last number
called (page 16).
While dialing or entering
numbers into your direc-
tory, press to insert a four-
second dialing pause (page
26).
CONTRAST: Press to adjust
screen contrast.
RINGER VOLUME: Adjust
switch on side of base (off, low,
high). (page 14)
CLEAR: While using
menus, press to can-
cel an operation, or
exit the menu display.
CID: Press when
phone is idle to dis-
play caller ID informa-
tion (page 32). While
entering numbers or
letters, press to move
the cursor to the left.
SELECT: Press to
store a programming
option (page 13), or
to create a directory
entry in memory (page
25).
DIR : Press when
phone is idle to display
directory entries. While
entering or modify-
ing names, press to
advance cursor.
DISP DIAL: Press to
dial number currently
displayed.
CLOCK: Press to review or set
clock (page 38).
SETUP: Press repeatedly to hear
setup options (page 40).
ANNC.: Press to review or record
announcement; press again to quit
(page 39).
RECORD: Press to record a
memo (page 42) or after pressing
ANNC. to record an outgoing
announcement (page 39).
PLAY/STOP: Press to start or
stop message playback (page 41).
DELETE: Press to delete mes-
sage currently playing, hold to
delete all old messages (page 41).
ANSWER ON: Press to turn
answering system on or off (page 44).
REPEAT: Press to repeat mes-
sage, press twice to play previous
message (page 41).
SKIP: Press to skip message
(page 41).
HOLD: Press to place
call on hold. Press
again to resume call
(page 17).
VOLUME: During
a call, press or
to adjust listening vol-
ume (page 17).
MUTE:Press to silence
microphone, press again
to resume your conver-
sation (page 17).
SPEAKER: Press to
activate the Clearspeak™
dial-in-base speaker-
phone. The Clearspeak™
speakerphone allows
clear, hands-free com-
munications when you
are positioned near the
telephone base.
