Chapter 6Useful Information
Problem
You cannot dial.
You cannot store a phone
number in memory.
While programming, the unit
starts to ring and stops the
program.
(Locator/Intercom) does
not function.
The paged handset does not
answer.
Remedy
The dialling mode setting is incorrect.
Please check the dialling mode (p. 18).
The unit is in the call prohibition mode.
To cancel the mode, see page 49.
The number which you dialled is restricted.
To cancel the number, see page 51.
Key lock mode is set. To cancel the mode,
see page 39.
You cannot store a phone number while
the unit is in the talk or intercom mode.
Do not pause for over 60 seconds while
storing.
To answer the call, press (Talk) or
(Digital speakerphone)
(KX-TCD970E-B only). Start from the
beginning after hanging up.
The handset is too far from the base unit.
The handset is engaged in an outside call.
Wait until the in use indicator ( ) goes
out.
The paged handset is not in the same
radio area.
The paged handset is engaged in an
outside call.
The handset number has been cancelled
or the handset has not been registered.
Register the handset in the base unit
(p. 76, 96).
