TheSettingsmenusforyouri830allowyoutoconfigureor
changehowmanyofyourphone’sfeaturesorfunctionsappear
orwork.Someofthesettingsonthesemenusareassociated
withshortcutsorhotkeysonyourphoneandcanbequickly
accessedforyourconvenience.
Forexample,theToday
ScreenhasshortcutsforOwner
InformationandBluetoothconnections,whiletheLauncher
Application,accessedbypressingthe
key,displays
shortcutsforPowerandScreensettings.Accordingly,somce
SettingsavailableonthePersonal,System, andConnections
tabsarediscussedfeaturesarepresentedinthismanual.
Settingsthatarenoteasilyassociatedwithother applicationsor
featuresofyourphonearediscussedhere.Theyarenotlisted
inaspecific
order;however,somesettingsaregroupedwith
topicsthatincludethem.

Buttons Settings
TheButtonssettingallowsyoutoassignyourfavorite
programstoyourphone’shardwarebuttons:
1.
Tap Start located in the upper left corner of the screen.
2.
Tap Settings, then tap the Personal tab.
3.
Tap the Buttons icon.
4.
Tap the Button assignment drop down box for each of the
buttons listed below.
5.
Tap
to save and exit Buttons settings.

PDA/Phone Ringer Volume
YoucansetthevolumeforbothPDAnotificationssuchas
tappingyourscreenoralarmsandtheincomingringervolume.
Toadjustthesevolumes,followthesesteps:
1.
Tap the
icon located at the top
of your screen. A menu displays
with sliders to adjust both the PDA
and ringer volumes.
2.
Using the stylus, tap the desired
level on the slider located under
Volume. The left slider controls the
PDA volume and the right slider
controls the ringer volume.
3.
Tap the
icon again to exit.
