Assigning a Backup TFTP Server
TFTP Server 2 displays the IP address of the backup TFTP server. This server is
used to obtain configuration files and software upgrades if the primary TFTP
server is unavailable.
Before you can assign a backup TFTP server, the Alternate TFTP setting must
be set to Ye s.
To assign a backup TFTP server, follow these steps:

Procedure
Step 1 Display the Network Configuration menu.
For instructions, see the “Displaying the Network Configuration Menu” section
on page 4-4.
Step 2 Unlock Network Configuration menu options.
For instructions, see the “Unlocking and Locking Options on the Network
Configuration Menu” section on page 4-5.
Step 3 Scroll to TFTP Server 2.
Step 4 Press the Edit softkey.
Step 5 Enter the new Alternative TFTP Server address.
For information about entering values, see the “Guidelines for Editing Settings in
the Network Configuration Menu” section on page 4-6.
Step 6 Press the Validat softkey.
Step 7 Press Save.
Configuring CDP
You can disable or enable Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP). CDP allows the phone
to be discovered by the CiscoWorks network management system.
