To set the Diverse 2011 to search
for a specific base signal
If you are using your handset in an
area where the base signals overlap,
we recommend that you specify one
base station as the priority signal that
your handset should search for.
If you give it a Priority Select setting,
your handset will search for a
specified base station for 30 seconds
before looking for any other base
station it has been registered with.
Alternatively, you can set it to log on
to only one specific base station – this
is Fixed Selection.
Press the
MENU button.
Press the
DOWN button to highlight
SELECT BASE.
Press the
OK button.
Press the
DOWN button to highlight
the base station you want.
Press the
MORE OPTIONS button.
Press the
DOWN button to highlight
PRIORITY SELECT or FIXED SELECTION.
Press the
OK button.

To change the base station name
You can rename the preset base
station names which appear on your
screen. This lets your display
permanently show a more meaningful
name for your base station, for
example, KITCHEN, STUDY, OFFICE.
Press the
MENU button.
Press the
DOWN button to highlight
SETTINGS.
Press the
OK button.
Press the
DOWN button to highlight
BASE SETTINGS.
Press the
OK button.
Press the
DOWN button to select
the base station required.
Press the
MORE OPTIONS button.
Press the
DOWN button to highlight
CHANGE BASE NAME.
Press the
CLEAR CHARACTER
button until the old name has gone.
Enter the new name.
Press the
MORE OPTIONS button.
Press the
DOWN button to highlight
SAVE ENTRY if you do not want to
save the changes highlight CANCEL.
Press the
OK button to confirm.
