Check or Request number (N)
The short cut is interrupted and you
can enter a number of your choice.
When you have confirmed the number
press the
OK button the short cut
continues processing.
Request acknowledgement (Q)
The short cut is interrupted to allow
you to hear the dial tone, for example.
When you have confirmed press the
NEXT button the short cut continues
processing.
Base messages (B)
The short cut is interrupted to display
messages from the base station and
to enter digits (e.g. when the internal
number is requested). When you have
confirmed press the
NEXT button the
macro continues processing.
The table below shows some of the
default short cut names, content and
explanation

Using the “Call Barring on” short cut
will do the following for you
Press the SET button.
Press the
#
button followed by the
8 and 4 buttons.
Request a
PIN number. The user
will have to enter the
PIN number
and
OK it.
Press the
1 button. This will activate
the function.
Press the
SET button.
If doing the above manually you
would have to press the menu button
to display the main menu then
highlight SERVICE to display SET after
which the
SET and INT buttons have
to be pressed before the above steps
can be carried out.
To use a short cut
You can use a short cut while the
phone is in standby.
Press the
MENU button.
Use the
UP or DOWN option to
highlight SHORT CUT.
Press
OK. A list of short cut names
are displayed.
Use the
UP or DOWN option to
highlight the short cut you want.
Press the
MORE OPTIONS button.
Use the
UP or DOWN option to
highlight START.
Press
OK. The short cut sequence
will start automatically. It will
prompt the user for the pin number
or number as required.
