SELECTING AN
ANNOUNCEMENT
The TAD has three announcement op-
tions: 1, 2, and OGM.
Announcement 1 lets you record a
personal announcement, and the
caller is able to leave a message up
to 5 minutes long.
If you decide not to record your own
message, Announcement 1 plays a
pre-recorded message that says
“Please record message after the
tone.”
Announcement 2 lets you record a
personal announcement, but the
caller is unable to leave a message.
If you decide not to record your own
message, Announcement 2 plays
the pre-programmed outgoing mes-
sage.
• OGM (Outgoing Message) is pre-
programmed, and the caller is not
able to leave a message.
The OGM announcement says “No
one can answer the phone at the
moment. Please call again.”
Note:
If Announcement 1 is
selected and the memory is full, the
TAD plays the pre-programmed
OGM.
To select which announcement plays
when the TAD answers calls, press
ANNC
. The display changes from
1
to
2
to
OGM
.
Recording an Announcement
You can record a personal message for
the caller to hear when the TAD an-
swers a call.
Important Hints:
The outgoing message must be at
least 2 seconds long for proper
remote operation.
Your recorded announcements can
be up to 2 minutes long, but more
than 5 seconds of silence automat-
ically stops recording.
We recommend you write down
your announcement before record-
ing it. If you plan to record callers’
messages, ask for the caller’s
name, phone number, and mes-
sage.
