Installation and Charger
1. Connectthemainsadaptor(supplied)
to the socket on the back of the base
unit and to the wall mains supply.
2. Connect the telephone cord to the
phone socket on the back of the base
unit and into the wall phone socket.
3. Insert 2 rechargeableNi-MHAAA
batteries(included), observing the
correctpolarity,intothebatterycompartmenton the
handset. Slide the battery door firmly into place.
4. Placethehandsetonthechargingcradleandcharge
thebatteriesforafull14hoursbeforeusingitforthe
first time.
Note:
Itmaytakesometimeforthecordlesshandsettopower
up, andit may getwarmduringinitial charge.Thisis
normal.
Tip!
It is goodpracticetoputthecordless handset onthe
charging cradle when it is not in use to ensure that the
handset is always fully charged.

electrolyteiscorrosiveandcancausedamagetothe
eyesorskin.Itcanbetoxicifswallowed.
• Avoidcontactwithmetalobjectswhenhandlingthe
battery. These objects could short out the batteries or
causetheconductortooverheatresultinginburns.
• Donotattempttorechargethebatterycellbyheating
it. Sudden release of battery electrolyte can cause
burns or irritation to the eyes or skin.
• Observetheproperpolarity,ordirection,ofanybattery.
Reverseinsertionof thebatterycellcanresultin
leakage or explosion.
• Removethebatteriesifyoudonotplantousethe
productforseveralmonthsatatime.
