CHAPTER 4: USER OPTIONS
PROGRAMMING OPTIONS
To allow for individual preferences and enhance ease of use, the following features can be programmed:
DHCP, host IP, subnet mask, default gateway IP address, ringer melody, VLAN on/off, help line number, and
AGC/ALC. You can also restore factory defaults.
To Change Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)
Press and hold the 1. REDIAL/PROG key until the Program icon appears on the LCD screen (see figure 4.1)
Press 2. 1 to enter the DHCP menu. There are two options: 1 - enable DHCP; and 0 - disable DHCP.
Press 3. REDIAL/PROG. The current DHCP setting will flash.
Press keys 1 or 0 to enable or disable DHCP.4.
Press5. REDIAL/PROG to save the selection; a confirmation tone will play. Press CLEAR to exit programming.
The phone will reboot.6.
To Change Host IP Address
Press and hold the REDIAL/PROG key until the Program icon appears on the LCD screen (see figure 4.1).
Note: DHCP must be disabled in order to change the host IP address manually.
Press 1. 2 to enter the Host IP Address menu. The current host IP address will be displayed.
Press 2. REDIAL/PROG. The current host IP address will flash.
Press and hold 3. CLEAR to erase the current host IP address.
Using the number keys, enter the desired host IP address.4.
Press 5. REDIAL/PROG to save the selection; a confirmation tone will play. Press CLEAR to exit programming
mode.
The phone will reboot.6.
To Change Subnet Mask
Press and hold the 1. REDIAL/PROG key until the Program icon appears on the LCD screen (see figure 4.1).
Note: DHCP must be disabled in order to change the subnet mask manually.
Press 2. 3 to enter the Change Subnet Mask menu. The current subnet mask will be displayed
Press 3. REDIAL/PROG. The current subnet mask will flash.
Press and hold 4. CLEAR to erase the current subnet mask.
