Telephone settings
Handset settings
Set date/time
The answering system announces the day and time of each message prior
to playing it. If you subscribe to caller ID service, the day, month and time
are set automatically with each incoming call. If you do not want to set the
date/time automatically with the caller ID information, turn this feature off
(see Use caller ID to automatically set date and time on page 38).
After handset registration or a power failure, the handset will prompt you to
set the date and time (see page 11).
To set the date and time manually:
Press the MENU softkey on the handset in idle mode to
enter the main menu.
Press or to highlight SETTINGS, then press the
SELECT softkey.
Press or to highlight Set date/time, then press the
SELECT softkey.
Press the SELECT softkey to select Date/time.
Press or to select the month and then press the SET
softkey to confirm, or enter the correct number using the
dialing keys.
Press or to select the day and then press the SET
softkey to confirm, or enter the correct number using the
dialing keys.
Press or to select the year or enter the correct
number using the dialing keys, then press the SET softkey.
Press or to select the hour and then press the SET
softkey to confirm, or enter the correct number using the
dialing keys.
Press or to select the minute and then press the SET softkey to
confirm, or enter the correct number using the dialing keys.
Press or to choose AM or PM, then press the SET
softkey to confirm.
You hear a confirmation tone.
NOTE: If the clock is not set when a message is recorded, the system announces, “Time
and day not set,” before the message is played.
