Date and time information is obtained from a local SNTP server. However, if a
local SNTP server is not available, then the date and time is obtained from a
public SNTP server. If the user configures the local date and time, that
information is maintained until the next time an SNTP server is polled.
When time is maintained locally, the telephone checks every 10 minutes for the
activation of an SNTP server and updates the local time if it is available.
When the SNTP server is recovered and accessed, it automatically overwrites
all previous manual local date and time settings and updates the information
from the SNTP server.
If an SNTP server is not available or it is disabled, the local time starts from
01/01/02 when the system is powered on.
