TROUBLESHOOTING
The audio sounds weak.
• Move the handset and/or base away from metal objects or appliances and try again.
• Make sure that you are not too far from the base.
Can't make or receive calls.
• Check both ends of the base telephone line cord.
• Make sure the AC adapter is plugged into the base and wall outlet.
• Disconnect the AC adapter for a few minutes, and then reconnect it.
• De-register the handset (see "De-register the Handset" on page 15) and register the handset
(see "Register the Handset" on page 14).
• Make sure that you are not too far from the base.
• Make sure the line is not in use.
• If an outside call is already established, you can not make another outside call.
The handset doesn't ring or
receive a page.
• Charge the batteries in the handset for 15-20 hours by placing the handset on the base or
charging cradle.
• Make sure that you are not too far from the base.
• De-register the handset (see "De-register the Handset" on page 15) and register the handset
(see "Register the Handset" on page 14).
Unavailable
appears in
the display.
• Make sure that another handset(s) is not in use, and try the phone again.
• Make sure that you are not too far from the base.
Severe noise interference.
• Keep the handset away from microwave ovens, computers, remote control toys, wireless
microphones, alarm systems, intercoms, room monitors, fluorescent lights, and electrical
appliances.
• Move to another location or turn off the source of interference.
Caller ID does not display.
• The handset was picked up before the second ring.
• The call was placed through a switchboard.
• Contact your service provider to verify the Caller ID settings. There can be a problem with your
Caller ID service.
