Data Port
This is a connection which is in parallel with the telephone
line. It allows the connection of Device such as a modem,
caller ID or an answering machine. The data port is across
line .
SETTING UP YOUR UNIT
Factory Presets
The following table shows you the factory settings for your
unit:
Display Setting

Area Code no setting
LDS Code 1
After the adapter is connected, the display will show as indi-
cated below for setting.
1. “SET LANGUAGE” appears on the
display. Press the REVIEW UP ▲
button to select the language, E –
English, F – French, S – Spanish, and
then press the DIAL button to con-
firm the selection.
2. When “LCD CONTRAST” appears,
press REVIEW UP ▲ button to set
the contrast darker, and then you
can press REVIEW DOWN ▼ but-
ton to set the contrast back to the preset.
3. Press “DIAL” button to confirm selection.
4. When “SET AREA CODE” ap-
pears, use REVIEW UP ▲ but-
ton and REVIEW DOWN ▼
button to set your local area
code.
REVIEW UP ▲ button -to change the digit from -, 0, 1, 2,
~9
REVIEW DOWN ▼ button - to move to the next digit.
When you are finished setting the local area code, press
Dial.

4. Lorsque la plaque est en place à l’arrière du téléphone,
fixez le téléphone au mur.
Si vous ne désirez pas installer le téléphone au
mur, la plaque d’installation murale peut être
retournée et fixée près du haut du socle, au-
dessus du compartiment des piles de façon à
changer l’angle de l’écran ACL lorsque le
téléphone est installé sur une table ou un bu-
reau.
Port de données
Cette connexion est parallèle à la ligne téléphonique. Elle
permet l’installation d’un dispositif tel un modem, un afficheur
ou un répondeur téléphonique.

Réglages à l’usine
Le diagramme suivant vous indique les réglages de votre
téléphone qui ont été programmés à l’usine :

Lorsque l’adaptateur sera branché, les réglages suivants
apparaîtront pour vous permettre de les régler :
1. L’inscription “SET LANGUAGE”
(régler le langage) apparaît à
l’affichage. Appuyez sur la
touche”REVIEW UP “▲” pour
sélectionner le langage, “E” pour anglais, “F” pour français
et “S” pour espagnol, enssuite, appuyez sur la touche “DIAL”
pour confirmer la sélection.
2. Lorsque l’inscription “LCD CON-
TRAST” (contraste de l’écran
d’affichage) apparaît, appuyez sur la touche “REVIEW UP
“▲” pour sélectionner le contrast le plus foncé ou sur “RE-
VIEW DOWN “▼” pour revenir au contraste d’origine.
3. Appuyez sur la touche de composition 'DIAL' afin de
confirmer la sélection.
