First Time Installation
1. Connect the adapter. Plug the large part of the adapter
into the wall outlet and the adapter tip to the jack at the
rear side of unit. (Use only 9V DC, 200mA, center positive
Class 2 adapter.)
2. Connect the telephone line cord.
A. To connect without an answering machine.
•Take the new line cord to connect the PHONE jack
of your new caller ID phone to the modular wall jack.
B. To connect with an existing answering machine.
• Use the existing line cord supplied to connect the
LINE jack of your answering machine to the wall
modular line jack
•Take the new line cord supplied to connect the tel-
ephone’s jack of your new caller ID phone to the
PHONE jack of your answering machine.
• Set your answering machine to answer the phone
after 2 or more rings.
3. Follow the procedure “Setting Up Your Unit” to set up your
unit.
4 Place the unit on a flat table or mount it onto a wall. If you
desire to place it onto a wall, please use the wall mount
bracket and short line cord supplied to accomplish the
wall mounting.
Wall Mounting
1. Remove the Handset from the Handset Cradle and slide
the plastic Handset Tab (located just below the Hook
Switch) up and out of its slot.
2. Turn the Handset Tab around and reinsert the tab back
into its slot so that the plastic tab extends outward acting
as a hook to hold the Handset when mounted on the wall.
3. Turn the phone over so that you are looking at the bottom
of the phone. Attach the removable Wall Mount Bracket
into the Wall Mount Slots at the bottom of the phone.
The back of the phone should then have two round plas-
tic holes which can be used to hang your phone on the
wall.
4. Once attached to the phone, use the Wall Mount Bracket
to hang this unit on the wall plate in the wall.
If you do not wish to mount your phone on the
wall, the Wall Mount Bracket can be reversed
and installed closer to the top of the unit’s base
above the battery compartment during installa-
tion in order to raise the angle of the phone’s
LCD when sitting on a table or desk.

L’installation initiale de votre nouveau
téléphone
1. Raccordez le cordon de l’adaptateur secteur CA dans la
prise d’entrée de la fiche de l’adaptateur CC, située à
l’arrière du socle. N’utilisez l’appareil qu’avec une
source d’alimentation polarisée de classe 2 de 9 V CC,
300 mA dotée d’un adaptateur secteur CA/CC.
2. Brancher le fil téléphonique.
A. Branchement sans répondeur téléphonique.
• Utilisez le fil téléphonique inclus pour relier la
prise “PHONE” de votre nouveau téléphone avec
afficheur à la prise modulaire.
B. Branchement avec répondeur téléphonique.
• Utilisez le fil téléphonique inclus et branchez-le à la
prise LINE de votre tépondeur téléphonique, puis à
la prise modulaire.
• Utilisez le nouveau fil téléphonique inclus pour le
brancher à la prise de votre téléphone avec
afficheur, puis à la prise PHONE de votre
répondeur numérique.
• Régler votre répondeur numérique pour que celui-
ci réponde après 2 sonneries ou plus.
3. Veuillez vous référer à la section “Régler de votre
téléphone” pour plus de détails.
4. Déposez l’appareil sur une table ou installez-le au mur. Veuillez
utiliser la plaque de montage mural ainsi que le fil
téléphonique court inclus pour installer le téléphone au mur.
Montage mural
1. Retirez le combiné du socle et glissez la languette de
plastique (située sous le crochet commutateur) vers le haut
pour le retirer.
2. Retournez le crochet commutateur et remettez-le en place
de façon à ce que le crochet ressorte vers l’extérieur pour
vous permettre de raccrocher le combiné lorsque le socle
est installé au mur.
3. Retournez le téléphone pour voir le dessous de l’appareil. Fixez
la plaque murale amovible dans les encoches d’installation murale
sous le téléphone. Deux ouvertures rondes devraient maintenant
se trouver à l’arrière du téléphone pour vous permettre de fixer
le téléphone au mur.
4. Lorsque la plaque est en place à l’arrière du téléphone,
fixez le téléphone au mur.
Si vous ne désirez pas installer le téléphone au mur, la
plaque d’installation murale peut être retournée et
fixée près du haut du socle, au-dessus du compartiment
des piles de façon à changer l’angle de l’écran ACL
lorsque le téléphone est installé sur une table ou un
bureau.
