Room Monitor
This feature allows you to monitor sounds in another room. Place a handset in the room you wish to monitor; it will
function as a microphone. Another handset can be set to function as a remote speaker, allowing you to monitor
sounds in the room.
Press the MENU soft key and enter ROOM MONITOR menu. TO ROOM MONITOR appears.
Select the handset you want to monitor by using [ ] or [ ].
Press the OK soft key. ROOMMONITOR appears, and you hear sounds in the
room where the handset is installed.
To turn off the Room Monitor, press the END soft key or [ ] on either handset or
return the handset to the cradle.
Note:
Warning! The Room monitor function is not a replacement for regularly checking the safety and security of
children. The operating time is limited to the remaining charge of the battery and is not suitable for
continuous overnight use.
This feature only works when both handsets are within range of the base.
If the party is out of range, UNAVAILABLE appears in the display and the operation will be canceled.
While a pair of handsets is in Room Monitoring mode, only the Handsets in monitoring mode can receive
incoming calls. To resume normal telephone operation, you should terminate the monitoring session by
pressing the END soft key on either handset.
