BONDING A SX6
TO A RUIM (SX6P-300C series only)
You can bond a SX6P to the RUIM inserted in it. Once a SX6P has been bonded to a RUIM, the
SX6P will not operate normally with any other RUIM installed in it. It will reject incoming calls and
permit only emergency outgoing calls. The same holds true for any other SX6P the bonded RUIM is
installed into: it will not operate normally.
Bonding a SX6P to a RUIM can only be done once. It cannot be undone by the user.
Before you can bond the SX6P to a RUIM, the RUIM must have a PIN enabled. See Security (page
20) for details.
1. Start by pressing MENU.
2. Select 6: Data Settings.
3. Select 4: Tech Mode.
4. Enter your Tech User Password. (Default: )
5. Select 6: Bonding PIN.
6. Enter the inserted RUIM’s PIN.
7. Cycle your SX6’s power. After the unit reboots, it will be bonded to the RUIM.
