Dial Lock
The dial lock feature allows you to prevent others from making calls with the
handset(s) and base unit. You can turn on the dial lock for all the units using a handset
or the base unit. To use this feature, turn the feature on. The factory preset is OFF.
To turn the dial lock on
(use either the handset or the base unit)
When the dial lock is turned on, only numbers stored in the phone book as
emergency numbers (numbers stored with a # at the beginning of the name) can
be dialled (p. 34). We recommend storing emergency numbers in the phone
book before using this feature.
1 Press [MENU].
2 Scroll to “Dial lock” by pressing [d] or
[B], then press the soft key ( ).
3 Enter a 4-digit password.
• This password is required when turning the dial
lock off.
• If more than 4 digits are entered, the last 4 digits
are the password.
4 Press the soft key ( ).
5 Press the soft key ( ).
• “Dial lock on” is displayed.
6 Press [OFF].
1 Press [DIAL LOCK].
• The DIAL LOCK indicator flashes.
2 Enter a 4-digit password.
• If more than 4 digits are entered, the last 4 digits are the password.
3 Press [#].
4 Enter the password again.
5 Press [DIAL LOCK].
• A long beep sounds and the indicator lights.
• If the base unit beeps 3 times, the wrong password was entered in step 4.
Start again from step 1.
