2.10 Starting the Advanced Hybrid System
2.10.1 Starting the Advanced Hybrid System
This section explains the required procedure for starting the PBX for the first time, or when using the
optional 2-Channel Voice Message Card (KX-TE82492) for the first time.
1. Make sure that all outside (CO) lines you use are connected to the PBX.
2. Set the Power Switch to the "OFF" position.
3. If installing the 2-Channel Voice Message Card, insert it into the PBX. (→ 2.3.9 2-Channel Voice
Message Card (KX-TE82492))
4. Connect the AC cord to the PBX, then plug the AC cord into an AC outlet.
5. Set the Power Switch to the "ON" position.
Note
For safety reasons, do not stretch, bend, or pinch the AC cord.
6. Enter system programming mode.
7. Perform the following procedure,
[when starting the PBX for the first time]
To initialise the PBX with the default values:
a. Connect a proprietary telephone (PT) to extension jack 01 of the PBX.
b. Press the PROGRAM button.
c.
Press #.
d. Enter your System Password (Default: 1234).
a. Enter 999.
b. Press the NEXT (SP-PHONE) button and "All Para" is displayed.
c. Press the STORE (AUTO DIAL/STORE) button.
d. Press the END (HOLD) button.
