Enter in the Callsign edit box your callsign with -L at the end such as W6DJY-L. Click the “OK”
button.

A server message will display that indicates the new callsign must be validated. You must close
the EchoLink software and validate this new callsign as a link station.
Note: As shown in the example below, the link station callsign is treated as a different station even if the same callsign
(without the -L) has been validated previously. In the case of “W6DJY”, the EchoLink software differentiates between
“W6DJY” (single user), “W6DJY-L” (link station) and “W6DJY-R” (repeater station), and different node numbers will be
assigned. Because of this, you must validate a link station (or repeater station) callsign by going to
http://www.echolink.org/validation
and following the validation procedure.
