GETTING STARTED
When dialing the number, you have the following options:
Use the voice mail directory. See page 59.
Use the Station Speed-Dial feature. See page 51.
Use the System Speed-Dial feature. See page 52.
Redial the last number you dialed. See page 27.
Receiving Outside Calls
To receive an outside call:
Lift the handset to respond to the caller.
To redirect a ringing call to another extension or to an outside number:
1. Press and dial .
2. Enter the extension or outside number to which you want to redirect the call. See
page 27 for more information.
Emergency Calls
With the telephone system, you do not have to dial the Outgoing Call access code
(default is
) to dial an emergency number.
To make an emergency call:
Dial
. A call is automatically placed to the preset emergency number.
NOTE: Dial in Europe for emergency services.
Call Waiting
If you receive a call while you are already on another call, you will hear a “call wait-
ing” tone.
To respond to a waiting call:
To end the current call: Hang up. The waiting call rings in.
To place the current call on hold: Press then press to answer the waiting
call.
To have the caller hear DND signals: Press . (See page 38 for more
information about DND mode.)
