OPERATION
During Scanning (While Receiving an

ncoming Transmission), You Can Choose
f
rom the Following:
a
.Press and hold theTALKbutton to
communicate on that channel/privacycode.
Yourradio will remainon that
c
hannel/privacy code and return to
L
ISTENINGMODE.
b
.Press the CHANNEL UPor CHANNELDOWN
button toresume scanningDCS privacy
codes.
If you press the TALKbutton while scanning and
not within 10 secondsof receiving atransmission,
you willtransmit onthe channel/privacycode on
which youlast receiveda transmission.This will
return theradio toLISTENING MODE.
During Scanning (While NotReceiving
an Incoming Transmission), You Can
Choose from the Following:
a. Press channel/privacy codethat was
displayed before youentered Mode
Functions orchannel/privacy codeon which,
during scanning, you lastreceived a
transmission. Thiswill returnthe radioto the
LISTENING MODE.Press andhold theTALK
button tocommunicate oneither the
channel orchannel MODE.
b. Press theMODEbutton to proceedto next
available ModeFunction.

Dual Watch Location1 – isalways the
channel/privacy code displayed before

ou entered Mode Functions.See

details.
Dual Watch Location2 – willbe storedin the
radio. It can beedited and/or recalledfor
future engagements ofDual Watch Mode.
To Program OrEdit Dual Watch
Location 2 And EngageDual Watch
Mode:
1. Press theMODE buttonuntil
the Dual Watch icon andthe
channel number flashon
the display.
2. Choose oneof the
following:
a.Select or edit achannel:
1) Press theCHANNEL
UP or CHANNEL
DOWN button to
select achannel
(1 to8).
c. Press theLOCK buttonto returnto
LISTENINGMODE on eitherthe channel or
channel/privacy code thatwas displayed
before youentererd ModeFunctions orthe
channel/privacy code onwhich, during
scanning, youlast receiveda transmission.
b. Selector edit achannel/privacy code:
1) Press theCHANNEL UP orCHANNEL
DOWN button toselect achannel
(1 to8).
2) Press theMODE button toset the
channel. The smallnumbers next tothe
channel number willflash onthe display.
3) Press theCHANNEL UP orCHANNEL
DOWN button toselect aCTCSS privacy
code (01 to38) orDCS privacycode
(01 to83).
3. Press theLOCK buttonto
set Dual Watch Location 2
and engage DUALWATCH
MODE (see below for
further details).
NOTES: To terminate Dual Watch andproceed
to thenext availableMode Function,
press theMODE button.
While setting Dual Watch Location2,
if you do not pressany buttons for15
seconds yourradio willautomatically
return toLISTENING MODEon DualWatch
Location 1.
