the CTCSS privacy codes(01 to 38)within one

o Scan Privacy Codes:
1. While inLISTENING MODE,
press theCHANNEL UPor
CHANNEL DOWN button to
choose thechannel on
which youwish toscan the
CTCSS privacy codes.
2. Press theMODE button until
the Scan iconand thesmall
numbers nextto the
channel number flash on
the display.
3. Press theCHANNEL UPor
CHANNEL DOWN button to
begin scanning CTCSS
privacy codes within the
channel youselected.

c.Press the LOCK buttonto returnto
LISTENING MODE oneither thechannel or
channel/privacy code that wasdisplayed
before youentered ModeFunctions orthe
channel/privacy code onwhich, during
scanning, youlast receiveda transmission.
DCS Privacy Code Scan
Youcan automatically scanthe DCS privacycodes
(01 to83) withinone channel.
The Scan icon willcontinue to be displayedwhen
CTCSS privacy code scanis On. Your radio will
continue toscan CTCSSprivacy codesand stop as
an incoming transmission isdetected. Your radio
will remain onthat channel/privacy codefor 10
seconds.
While setting CTCSS privacycode scan, if you do
not press anybuttons for15 secondsyour radio
will automatically return toLISTENING MODEon
the channel/privacy code thatwas displayed
before youentered ModeFunctions.
During An Incoming Transmission,
You CanChoose From TheFollowing:
a.Press and hold theTALK button to
communicateon thatchannel/privacycode.
Yourradio will remainon that
channel/privacy code and return
to LISTENING MODE.
b.Press the CHANNEL UPor CHANNELDOWN
button toresume scanningCTCSS privacy
codes.
If you press the TALK buttonwhile scanning
and not within10 secondsof receiving
a transmission, youwill transmit onthe
channel/privacy code onwhich you lastreceived
a transmission. Thiswill return theradio to
LISTENING MODE.
To Scan DCS Privacy Codes:
1. Whilein theLISTENING
MODE, press theCHANNEL
UPor CHANNELDOWN
button tochoose the
channel onwhich youwish
to scan theDCS privacy
codes.
2. Pressthe MODEbutton until
the SCANicon, DCSicon
and thesmall numbersnext
to the channel numberflash
on thedisplay.
3. Pressthe CHANNELUP or
CHANNEL DOWN button to
begin scanning DCS privacy
codes within thechannel
you selected.
The scan icon willcontinue to
be displayed whenDCS privacy
code scan is ON.Yourradio
will continue toscan DCSprivacy codesand stop
when an incoming transmissionis detected. The
radio will remain onthat channel/privacy codefor
10 seconds.
While setting DCSprivacy codescan, if youdo not
press any buttons for15 seconds yourradio will
automatically return toLISTENING MODEon the
channel/privacy code that wasdisplayed before
you entered more functions.
