Troubleshooting
The system
does not receive
caller ID or the
system does not
display caller
ID during call
waiting.
• Make sure you subscribe to caller ID with call waiting
features services provided by the local telephone
company.
• The caller may not be calling from an area that supports
caller ID.
• Both you and the caller’s telephone companies must use
equipment compatible with caller ID service.
• If you subscribe to high-speed Internet service (Digital
Subscriber Line - DSL) through your telephone line, you
must install a DSL filter between the telephone base
and the telephone wall jack (see page 6). The filter will
prevent noise and caller ID problems caused by DSL
interference. Please contact your DSL service provider
for more information about DSL filters.

feature to work on your telephone.

The
announcement
message is not
clear.
• When recording the announcement, make sure you
speak in a normal tone of voice about nine inches from
the telephone base.
• Make sure there is no background noise (television,
music, traffic, etc.) when recording.
