2 Charge the handset battery.
• Place the handset in the handset charger.
• Charge the battery at least 12 hours. After the first charge,
the battery will typically charge in only eight hours.
Power Fail Operation
You can use your cordless phone during a power outage if a fully charged
battery is installed in the base unit (see “Spare Battery”). This battery will
provide enough power for you to make and receive calls for up to one
hour.
NOTE: Spare battery must be installed and charged prior to power
outage.
