Replacing the Base Power Reserve Batteries
The base unit back-up batteries need to be replaced when the PWR RESERVE
BATT LOW light on the base flashes when the phone is on.
1 Turn the base unit over. (Remove the wall bracket if the phone is
wall-mounted.)
2 Open the battery compartment door.
3 Remove the old batteries.
4 Insert four new AA batteries as indicated by the diagram in the
compartment.
5 Close the battery compartment door.
IMPORTANT: Do not install batteries during a power failure. Installing
batteries during a power failure will not enable the phone to work.
When battery power is low, the PWR RESERVE BATT LOW light goes on.
Replace the batteries promptly.
