Answering system operation
Remote access
A three-digit security code is required to access your
answering system from any touch-tone telephone.
This code is 500 by default, see Changing feature
options (page 24) to change it.
NOTE: If you
pause for more than
15 seconds during
remote access, you
will hear “The
machine will now
hang up,” then the
call will end automati-
cally.

Press to hear all messages.
Press to hear new messages.
Press once during playback to delete
current message. Press twice to
delete all old messages in idle mode.
Press during the caller’s message
to repeat the message. Press dur-
ing the beginning of the day and
time announcement to go back to
the previous message.
Press to stop any operation (stop
playback, stop recording).
Press to skip the current message
and advance to next message.
Press * 7, wait for the beep, then
begin speaking. Press 5 to stop
recording and hear the playback
of new announcement.
Press to hear list of features and
commands.
Press to turn off answering sys-
tem. Incoming calls will no long-
er be answered.
If off, system will answer after
10 rings. Enter your access code,
then press
0 to turn the answer-
ing system on.
Press
8 to listen to the current
clock setting.
Press 9 to listen to the current
answering system settings.
Press
# to record a new mes-
sage. Press 5 to stop recording.

Dial your telephone
number from any
touch-tone telephone.
2.
When the system
answers, enter three-
digit remote access
code (500 unless you
have changed it).
3.
Enter remote com-
mands (see list at
right).
4.
Hang up to end the
call and save all
undeleted messages.
