Programming Your Q90D
Your Q90D comes ready to use. However,
we suggest you set up three basic features:
1. Phone Directory for memory dialing
2. MSG 1 for user-programmed messages
3. MSG 2 for user-programmed messages
Phone Directory
The Q90D allows you to set up a Phone
Directory where you can store frequently
used and emergency numbers in memory.
It can store up to 24 numbers. Once you
store a number in the directory, your Q90D
can dial it for you.
Adding Names and Numbers to the
Phone Directory
1. Press Power to turn ON the Q90D.
2. Press F1 to enter DIAL mode.
The screen reads, ENTER NAME OR
NUMBER OR SELECT DIRECTORY.
3. Type the complete telephone number
sequence, (use Spacebar for pauses). If it is
a local number with the same area code,
there is no need to type the area code. If
you type an incorrect number, Backspace
and then type the correct number over it
and save it. It has the same dialing features
as a standard telephone, with a few
differences in the keys.
4. Press F8 to enter SAVE mode.
5. Press the Up or Down Arrow keys (next
to the Power key) to select the location
(1-24) where you wish to store the
number.
6. After reaching the location where you
want to store the number, press F8 again.
The screen displays EDIT CURRENT
NAME Y/N?
7. Press Y (YES) and type the name that goes
with the number.
8. Press Return key when you are finished. It
then displays both the name and number
you entered.
9. You can enter up to 24 phone numbers.To
repeat this process and add more numbers,
start at step 2.When finished, hold down
CTRL and press Power to turn it OFF. If
you want to continue to another Q90D
function, simply press the ESC key.
Note:The telephone number stored in
Directory 1 is automatically dialed when you
press F3. Use this for your most frequently
dialed number, such as your call Relay Service.
Saving Numbers with Extensions or
Menu Options
1. If you want to save a number that has
Menu choices and/or an extension that
follows the main number, program it as you
would a regular number, except when you
come to the end of the main number, press
the Spacebar before adding the option or
extension.Then continue with the other
steps in programming the number. For
example, if you wanted to store the
number (714) 640-2232, extension 323,
you would press 7146402232 Spacebar
323.
2. A number may have more than one Menu
option. Simply press the Spacebar before
each one. However, when calling a credit
card company, you might want to use the
Relay Operator (711).
