The Basics
2. Enter a phone number from standby mode. (If you make
a mistake while dialing, press to erase one digit at
a time. Press and hold to erase the entire number
and return to standby mode.)
3. Press . (To make a call when you are roaming and
Call Guard is enabled, highlight Roam Call and press
. See “Call Guard” on page 46.)
4. Press or close the phone when you are finished.
Tip: To redial your last outgoing call, press twice.
Tip: When making calls off the home network, always dial using 11 digits
(1 + area code + phone number).
You can also place calls from your phone by speed dialing
numbers from your Contacts (page 28) and using your Call
History listings (page 79).
Dialing Options
When you enter numbers in standby mode, a variety of dialing
options are available by pressing the “Options” softkey
button.
To initiate an option, press the corresponding softkey button.

Roam Call: To dial the phone number.

Speaker On: To dial the phone number in speakerphone
mode.
ⅷ
Send Picture: Send picture in My Pictures.
ⅷ
Send Msg.: Send message.
ⅷ
Save: Enter a seven- or ten-digit number (phone number
and area code) and press Options( ). Select Save
( ) to save the phone number in your Contacts.
