Installing Your CT301
Selecting the Installation Location
You should carefutlyselect the installation location
for freedom from excessive heat or humidity (as in
a kitchen or bathroom), and away from sources of
electrical noise, (such as motors or fluorescent
lighting). Providesufficient space to safely extend
the Base Unit antenna fully, and conveniently
locate the telephone near a standard 230/240
VAC outlet and telephone line socket.
The Base Unit of your CT301can sit on a desk, or
be mounted on a wall. When mounting the Base
Unit onto the wall, be certain that there are no
electrical cables, pipes, or other items behind the
mounting location that could cause a hazard when
inserting screws into the wall.
Use the mounting template for determining where
to put the mounting screws. To prevent possible
damage to the Base Unit, make sure the wall
material is capable of supporting the weight of the
Base Unit. Be sure to securely fasten the screws.
When you mount the Base Unit on a wall, reverse
the Handset Retainerto keep the Handset hung
up on the Base Unit.
