REPLACING THE
BATTERY PACK
If

ou follow the instructions in “Connect-

the Batter

e12, the batter

pack should last
about one

ear. If the batter
y
pack will
not hold a char
g
e for more than 2 hours
after an overni
g
ht char
g
e, replace it with
a new 3.6 V, 600 mAh batter
y
pack with
a connector that fits the socket in the
batter
y
compartment. You can order a
replacement batter
y
pack throu
g
h
y
our
local RadioShack store.
Install the new batter
y
pack as de-
scribed here, then char
g
e it for about 14
hours.
Note:
To avoid losin

numbers stored in
memor

, install and be

the
new batter
y
pack within 1 minute.
1. Press down and slide off the batter
y
pack compartment cover as shown.
2. Unfasten the plastic retainer strap
and lift the batter
y
pack out of the
compartment, then
g
entl
y
pull on the
batter
y
connector to disconnect it.
3. Insert the new batter
y
pack’s con-
nector into the socket in the com-
partment, place the batter
y
pack into
the compartment, and refasten the
retainer strap.
4. Replace the cover.
5. To char

the handset on the base either face-
up or facedown. The CHARGE indi-
cator on the base li
