Making Calls
To put a call on hold
Press during a conversation.
•The DIGITAL SP-PHONE indicator flashes on
the base unit.
•
If a call is kept holding for 5 minutes, a ring back tone
will sound and “CALL ON HOLD RING BACK !” will
be displayed. If you do not answer the recall within 30
seconds, the call will be disconnected.
To release the hold
From the handset, press or (SP-PHONE).
From the base unit, press (HOLD) or (DIGITAL!SP-PHONE).
•If another phone is connected on the same line (p. 67), you can also release the
hold by lifting its handset.
To dial after confirming the entered number

Enter a phone number.
•If you misdial, press (OFF/CLEAR).
Digits are erased from the right.

OR
To have a hands-free phone conversation, press (SP-PHONE).

To hang up, press (OFF/CLEAR) or place the handset on the base unit.
Lighted handset keypad
The handset dialing buttons will light when you press a button, or a call is
received. The lights will go out about 10 seconds after pressing a button,
or answering a call.
Backlit LCD display
The lighted handset display will stay on for about 10 seconds after
pressing a handset button or when a call is received.
